Radiation Technology & Engineering Programme (RTEP)

The activities of RTEP are divided into two major application areas namely Engineering  and Industrial Radiation Processing. (click the respective icons for details of the two units).

Engineering group of BRIT provides cobalt-60 and other sealed sources for industrial, research and medical purposes. It also supplies radiation technology equipments such as blood irradiator, Gamma Chambers, radiography camera ROLI-1. 

Regional Centre at  Kota ,Quality Assurance & Isotope Application Services and  corporate planning are also part of this group.

BRIT governs the operation & Maintenance of two gamma radiation processing facilities viz. ISOMED & RPP, Vashi besides the electron beam utilization at its Vashi Complex.

Besides it also provides consultancy for setting up of radiation processing plants in the private sector.
